A few weeks ago, on a public holiday (Vesak Day), we brought the boys to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) at Resorts World Sentosa. Hubby had a pair of free tickets to the USS which was expiring soon and we wanted to give the boys a special treat for their birthdays which had just past.
One of the first rides we took was the Madagascar carousel with characters from the Madagascar movie. Matt enjoyed it very much whilst Luke was rather hesitant. Much to our surprise, the queue for the ride was only a 5 mins wait! So we took this ride twice.

Here's a picture of the 3 boys in my life. =)

The next ride we took was the SHREK 4-D Adventure. Because I am pregnant, Luke and I took the stationary seats while Hubby and Matt took the movable seats. It was the first time my 2 boys were in a "cinema setting". They both found it exciting to put on the special 3-D glasses. Luke especially enjoyed this ride while Matt was a little scared by the movements on the seat. The wait for this ride was also quite manageable (abt 15 mins).

Before we break for lunch, we took the Magic Portion Spin in the Far Far Away land. It was a ferris wheel for children. Not very impressive, but the children enjoyed anyways.
We had our lunch at a restaurant called Goldilocks in the Far Far Away Land. They served special 7-spice chicken. We didn't find the food very satisfying, I think KFC would be more satisfying in comparison.
After lunch, we went to The Lost World and Matt took the Dino-Soarin ride with Hubby while I waited with Lukie who was asleep in his stroller by then. After the ride, the weather was turning very hot and it was the boys' nap time. We decided to head home to wash up and take a nap. It's nice that our home is only a 15 mins drive from Sentosa. =)
After a shower and a nap, we went back to Sentosa feeling so much more refreshed. We had our dinner at a Chinese Restaurant (Baits) just outside the USS. This time the food is much better. =)
After dinner, we went back to the Universal Studios It was about 7.30 pm, and by this time, the waiting time for most rides was very short. We took 2 more rides: Accelerator at the Sci-Fi City and Treasure Hunters at Ancient Egypt (where Matthew drove us all on a desert jeep through an abandoned Egyptian excavation site.)
We bought Universal Studios T-shirts for the 2 boys and managed to catch the breathtaking fireworks display at 9 pm. It was the boys' first time watching a live fireworks display and they really enjoyed it.
We had a good day at the USS. I thought we did quite well taking a grand total of 6 rides given that our boys are still quite young (2 n 4 years old) and I am expecting. =)
