But, 1 month ago, my younger boy Lukie turned two! My heart swells with thankfulness to God to see how fine this little boy of mine has grown.
The past 1 year for Lukie has been an amazing journey of growth and milestones. One which he literally "walked out" of babyhood into toddlerhood. And boy, there is no turning back. Now he loves to run and is full of joy, humour and curiosity for life.

I tried to find a few photos of Lukie which represented the past year for him. And had found numerous photos of him and his older brother Matthew instead. In many ways, that represents life for little Lukie.

He was born into a family with a brother (2 years older) whose love and affection for his younger brother had grown and deepened over the past 2 years.

And having been born into a family whose parents had gone through 2 years of parenting their firstborn, Lukie is definitely on the receiving end of a more relaxed style of parenting.

Luke is an affectionate little boy. He often tells me "I love mommy" / "I love everybody". And he would put his hand around my neck really tight to hug me.
Being a stay-at-home-mom, I really treasure the one-to-one time I can have with Luke in the morning when Matthew is in preschool. We like to go out of the house to explore the "nature" around our house. Like looking at ants and poking the mimosa plant to "put them to sleep".

Luke loves to pat the dogs in our neighbourhood and just spend time playing at the playground.

Luke totally stunned Hubby n I when he started stringing words together to form sentences at Age 1.5. One of Luke's first sentence we always remembered is "No, I didn't".
I know exactly where he learnt that phrase from.=) Whenever we questioned Matt "Did you pinch your Brother?" Matt would say "No, I didn't". Lukie must have picked up the phrase from his older brother! =)
Luke knows that I love to hear him say "No, I didn't" because I think it sounds so cute when the phrase comes out from the mouth a 1.5 year-old. Sometimes at bedtime, he would say the phrase just to make me laugh. And he doesn't just say it, he adds cute drama to the phrase by pouting his lips and saying it with a funny voice. Oh, he is my cute little boy.
It's been a full year for my little baby who is now my little boy.
Below are excerpts of the funny things said by Lukie which I would like to remember as the years pass by.
Mommy: "Do u love mommy?"
Luke: "Yes"
Mommy: "How much?"
Luke : "1 Dollar"
Sometimes when I am felling sad or angry, Lukie would come up to me and say"Mommy, I buy you sweets".Aww... this little boy really melts my heart sometimes.
Luke came to me one morning and said,"This morning, I get along with Matt Matt. I didn't snatch his toy."
Once Luke lifted up his T-shirt and asked me to talk to "his baby".(my boys like to lift up my T-shirt and talk to Baby no. 3 in my tummy)
But, in that particular incident, Lukie tried to talk to "his baby" by bending his head close to his own belly. At first, when he couldn't do it, he said to me "Must sit down first" (referring to himself). Then, he sat down and tried again to talk to "his baby" but soon realised that he can't put his mouth on his belly even when he is sitting down. What a moment of revelation for him. =D
Lukie has a good sense of humour. Sometimes, he would call me "Mommy" and when I answer him "Yes?" he would make the sound "domp" just to 'trick' me and make me laugh.
